Signature Proteus humbuckers

The Gus G. Signature Star features Gus’s custom Proteus humbucking pickups that churn out a high-gain, low-noise tone suited to powerful playing styles — just like Gus’s. Sensitive and ultra-responsive, the Proteus humbuckers are also ideal for highlighting fingertap-style playing and pinch harmonics. When you plug this baby in, it’ll become a fire-breathing dragon that scorches through solos and heavy riffs. Gus G. swears by Proteus pickups, and so will you.

Neck-through construction

This guitar doesn’t just have stellar electronics. It has a one-piece maple neck that runs through the entire body. On either side of the maple neck, a pair of mahogany wings are attached to provide extra resonance. Neck-through designs are very stable already, but Gus G. and Jackson upped the ante by adding two graphite reinforcement rods to ensure the neck is as stable as possible.
